Ann-Kathrin Müller & Julia Schäfer

Based on Richard Döcker's building at Bruckmannweg 10 in the Weissenhofsiedlung, which was destroyed in 1944, their project illuminates the (in)visibility of monuments in urban space and the urban planning of post-war modernism from a feminist perspective.

Ann-Kathrin Müller studied at the State Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart and was a master student of Prof. Ricarda Roggan. She studied political science at the University of Stuttgart. Her works have been exhibited at the Kunstmuseum Stuttgart, the Staatliche Kunsthalle Baden-Baden and the EIGEN+ART Lab Berlin, among others.

Julia Schäfer studied at the State Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart and the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design Jerusalem. Her work has been shown at the EIGEN+ART Lab Berlin, the Biennale für aktuelle Fotografie Mannheim, the Fuchsbau Festival Hannover, and the Württembergischer Kunstverein Stuttgart.

Commissioned by the Friends of the Weissenhofsiedlung, the artists Ann-Kathrin Müller and Julia Schäfer are developing a site-specific work.
