Kunstverein Wagenhalle e.V.
Since 2004, the Kunstverein Wagenhalle with its more than 150 members is building up a unique production site at the Stuttgart Nordbahnhof. The former wagon-repair hall and the associated buildings house ateliers, studios, workshops and storage spaces for artists and cultural creatives from a broad spectrum. The ‘cultural conservation area’ and Container City of the Kunstverein Wagenhalle, which was awarded the German Urban Development Prize, have for years placed focus on artistic work in the context of urban development. The outdoor areas around the renovated Wagenhalle serve as an experimental field for innovative art projects and temporary architectural concepts, and are also a popular meeting place for actors from urban society.
