The visual artists Sylvia Winkler and Stephan Köperl are based at the Kunstverein Wagenhalle in Stuttgart, and have collaborated on projects since 1997. Their artistic activities primarily focus on site and context-specific interventions around the globe, including the electoral system of Indonesia, a smart city in Korea and the International Criminal Tribunal of former Yugoslavia, in The Hague. Developing from on-site observations and research, their pieces are temporarily installed on local sites to then be captured by video, photography and text documentations.
