THEATRE OF THE LONG NOW describes the promise to perform a piece of wasteland in Stuttgart over the duration of at least 100 years. Founded in 2014, the piece has so far been completely invisible to outsiders. The THEATRE OF THE LONG NOW is both – an installation and a performance piece: It has no roof, but an ensemble. THEATER OF THE LONG NOW is a performance by Ferl+Hertel and Bureau Baubotanik in collaboration with Theater Rampe and Kunstverein Wagenhalle e.V. – supported by the Kulturamt der Stadt Stuttgart, Landesverband Freie Tanz- und Theaterschaffende Baden-Württemberg e.V..
