The Institute for Principles of Modern Architecture (Design and Theory) (IGmA) at the University of Stuttgart is the first, and to date, the largest research institute dedicated to architectural theory and design in Germany. Since April 1st,2018, IGmA is headed by Prof. Dr. Stephan Trüby. With his new team, he continues the institute’s tradition, while pursuing new research directions including the economics and politics of architecture, as well as elements and synthesis of architectural space.
