Winfried Stürzl

Winfried Stürzl, born in 1967 in Esslingen a.N., is a freelance art mediator, curator, author and editor as well as a lecturer in art studies at the Freie Kunstakademie Nürtingen.

After completing his studies in art history and Romance studies at the University of Tübingen (1998), he worked on exhibitions at the Museum Ludwig and the Kölnischer Kunstverein as well as in museum education at the Staatliche Kunsthalle Karlsruhe (1999/2000). Following this, he worked as editor and project manager at Arnoldsche Art Publishers, Stuttgart (2000-2006), since then he is self-employed. Co-founder of Tresor - Raum für flüchtige Kunst (2008/09) and Galerie AK2 (since 2013), exhibitions and texts on ephemeral art and in the field of temporary projects in public space, among others.
