Nicola Harenberg is an art historian (M.A.) and works in the Cultural Department of the City of Munich. She works in the department of visual arts / studio promotion, but has recently also become part of the Art in Public Space team. She studied art history in Tübingen and Munich and then worked in Munich exhibition venues such as Haus der Kunst, Städtische Galerie in Lenbachhaus, but also smaller institutions such as lothringer dreizehn, among others as a curator's assistant and in exhibition organization.
Due to her responsibilities in the Department of Culture, her focus so far has been on dealing with the immediate working conditions of artists in Munich and their improvement. In the future, this focus will be supplemented by the promotion of temporary art projects by Munich, national and international artists in public spaces.
