The Glitch Klitsche shows high-quality and low-threshold, much anticipated and entertaining films on themes of the city, urban development, urban culture and urban society. The cinema offers space for a very small audience. Exclusive film screening in a continuous loop!

The Glitch Klitsche offers the immediate solution for a long-overdue venue–an interim cinema–providing a sophisticated cultural program in Stuttgart’s Leonhardsvorstadt. In so, the artists contribute to a decade-long discussion about the disappearance, or replacement, of the former municipal cinema. The Glitch Klitsche spotlights the ambitious, albeit inconsequential public discourse surrounding the issue, and responds with a current, contemporary solution. The cinema showcases films focusing on the city, urban culture and society. The structure of the Glitch Klitsche is made of recycled materials assembled with no major hassle, while operating with reclaimed equipment. Offering space for a very small number of spectators, the cinema is linked to the existing urban situation of the Leonhardsvorstadt and the Züblin parking lot. A temporary, accessible smack as a walk-in prelude for the long-awaited return of a cinema.
