Presentation of the work of the Kunstverein Wagenhalle e.V. at Tor 5.
The is a lively place of art and culture production and presentation at Stuttgart's Nordbahnhof. It includes studios and workshops from the fields of visual and performing arts, music, photography, graphic and web design, arts and crafts, architecture, construction botany, curatorial practice, film and media art as well as social initiatives and the urban gardening project Stadtacker. Since its inception, the Kunstverein Wagenhalle and its protagonists have been intensively engaged with urban issues. Through its creative and political commitment, the proclamation of the cultural protection area, the construction of the Container City and the commendation at the Städtebaupreis (German Urban Development Award), the Kunstverein became the impetus for the development of the newly emerging Rosenstein Quarter and thus created the possibility to establish a permanent urban and cultural experimental field on the Wagenhallen site.
