Fühlerskop – electric mobility

The Fühlerskop is a handmade recording device for exploring the urban. Different recording modes allow access to spheres otherwise closed to us, such as vibrations, magnetic waves, movements, textures and density. Invisible, inaudible or neglected elements become compositions, forgotten spaces from everyday life the center of our attention. From our habit of hastily consuming the big picture, the Fühlerskop trains us to slow down and explore microscopic sounds. Small cracks are amplified into huge crevices and tiny pebbles make loud audible utterances, while ATMs, electric scooters and magnetic strip readers produce relaxing meditation fields–as can be experienced live in the sound performance with a focus on electric mobility: what sound do e-scooters and other devices produce?
Fühlerskop is an invitation to explore anew what is already known.
