Discussion on Stuttgart's wind situation and urban wind turbulence with artist Haseeb Ahmed, Ingo Gerlach (Chief Dramaturg Staatstheater Stuttgart). The starting point of the conversation is the artists in situ artwork and open research project exposing and amplifying the city’s unique wind turbulences–A Pattern of Turbulence. Urban wind canyons can result from the erroneous translation of architectural models or masterplans to the built environment. In this sense, the city creates turbulences–in, and for itself. This fosters what planners refer to as 'wind nuisance', which may significantly affect daily life at ground level.
