Artist Talk with Valentina Karga and the Kunstbüro
Valentina Karga works at the intersections of art, design, architecture, and social practices. With her often participatory projects, she questions prevailing social as well as physical infrastructures in the fields of energy, economy and sustainability. In her lecture, she will provide insight into her artistic practice and talk about her experiences in the art world as well as in the academic field. Valentina Karga has been a fellow at the Berlin Centre for Advanced Studies in Arts and Science, Berlin University of the Arts, a Saari Fellow in Finland, and an artist in residence at NTU-CCA in Singapore, as well as the Vilém Flusser Program at Transmediale in Berlin. Her work is exhibited internationally. Since 2018, she has been a professor at the Hamburg University of Fine Arts (HfbK).
