What are the challenges of archiving public art? How do you track down the works? Where does one find the information that belongs to them? How can they be made accessible? Against the backdrop of several controversial works that will be visited on site, we will discuss the difficult but exciting work of archiving and communicating art in public space. Specifically, we will focus on the publication Kunst im öffentlichen Raum in Stuttgart (Art in Public Space in Stuttgart) and the emerging online platform on works in Stuttgart's public space.
